Page 3 of 3 I have to admit that I have failed whole-heartedly and gladly in my mission to become a ‘woman’. I am proud to live in a mess, to refuse to play slave, to not wash, to enjoy DIY and to be able to drive on the motorway without concern for my nail varnish. And to listen to music that makes men whimper... but show me something pink and sparkly... or a fluffy kitten and I’ll follow you to the gates of hell. And I do like perfume and painting my nails... just not every day. And I’ve had my babies and I’ve shaved my legs, I’ve worn a dress and gossiped with my friends. And I’ve done it because I’m ‘me’ and I like doing it! Here on Conker Exchange, we accept the conflicting sides of our nature. That being biologically female is an important part of our character, just not all of it. We may be living a woman’s life, but we’re not plastic and we’re not desperate. We want to enjoy being women and support other women on their journey, whatever that is, using our experience and networks which we’ve picked up along the way.
