    The People & Organization Development team aims drive and implement a Network strategy to embed Human Resources, People Development and Organization Development as key components of WWF?s business.

     

    Reporting directly to the Director, People & Organization Development (POD), you will be involved in various logistics and coordination functions. Being an active member of POD team, the candidate will coordinate and communicate the activities of the department across the team.  The incumbent will play a vital role in administering and co-ordinating all recruitments for WWF International and key recruitments for Programme Offices and Global Initiatives.

     

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, meticulous and customer focused candidate. We seek a candidate who has proven experience supporting an HR Director and handling Resourcing in an international environment. The incumbent should demonstrate strong organization and multitask skills and an ability to deal with a variety of situations and confidential issues.

     

    Location: The position is based at WWF International in Gland, Switzerland.

    WWF Danube-Carpathian Programme (WWF-DCPO) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic

                              Regional Conservation Director 

    (full-time, preferably based in Bucuresti, Budapest or Sofia)

    The WWF-DCPO Regional Conservation Director will drive and lead a high-performing conservation programme for WWF in and from Central and Southeastern Europe, including particularly Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and other areas of the Danube-Carpathian ecoregion, delivering conservation impact on issues and in places that are key to WWF?s global conservation priorities. This will include conservation of natural assets within the region as well as support for conservation of WWF?s global priorities outside of the region, including in the Greater Mekong and Coral Triangle of Southeast Asia.

    Your duties will include:
    • Leading, coordinating, managing and developing the regional conservation programme and team of WWF-DCPO, WWF-Austria and WWF-Hungary;
    • Overseeing the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and regular revision of the WWF-DCP Strategic Conservation Plan as well as annual work plans;
    • Leading and overseeing fundraising for the regional conservation programme, including development of major project proposals as well as actively supporting broader fundraising efforts including from the private sectors as well as from individuals;
    • Taking responsibility for staff management and development of regional conservation staff;
    • Taking responsibility for the overall development of WWF-DCPO as a member of the regional Senior Management Team;
    • Liaising on issues of conservation with other WWF bodies and other global priority places such as Greater Mekong and Coral Triangle Global Initiative, etc.;
    • Representing WWF on conservation-related issues in key regional external bodies;
    We expect from you:
    • A university degree at Masters level or equivalent in conservation, natural resource management, or related development/policy subject along with relevant work experience;
    • A proven track record and proficiency in successfully leading multi-national programmes and/or institutions in the field of conservation, natural-resource management, or international development.
    • Demonstrated fund-raising skills and experience with donors, particularly the EU and government programmes as well as ideally also private corporations.
    • A good understanding of the conservation and socio-economic issues and the political processes in Central and Southeastern Europe is a distinct advantage.
    • At least 8 years professional experience, with demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple donor budgets in conservation, natural resource management and/or development.
    • Decision-making skills, with a strong business acumen and drive for results.
    • High-level negotiation / influencing skills, with the capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels in the business, not-for-profit, scientific and political communities.
    • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of individuals (individual donors, business leaders, public figures, WWF staff).
    • Excellent communication in English; proficiency in at least one local language is an asset: (e.g. German, Hungarian, Romanian, Russian, Bulgarian).
    • Ability to work in a ?virtual? team spread across multiple countries and locations and to travel frequently and extensively.
    • Ideally, knowledge of and experience with WWF structures, priorities and procedures.

  • WWF Greater Mekong, Timber Trade Coordinator, Carbi Project

WWF Greater Mekong ? on the ground in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam ? is working to conserve the region?s biodiversity and build a secure and sustainable future for people and wildlife.

    WWF Greater Mekong (WWF GM) is seeking to recruit well-qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the position of Timber Trade Coordinator, Carbi Project.

    The Timber Trade Coordinator will have overall technical responsibility for the planning, implementation and reporting for Result Area 4, ?Mitigation of international leakage through timber tracking and control?, of the CarBi project, with an emphasis on the Lao PDR, under the supervision of the Project Director and in close cooperation with national and provincial government counterparts, WWF Laos, as well as WWF Vietnam field project teams. The incumbent will also, as Timber Trade Component Leader, be an active member of the CarBi Project Management Team, ensuring the coordinated and synchronized implementation of all 4 Result Areas (Components) of the project, and will also take full responsibility for financial management and reporting on the Timber Trade Component.

    Base Location: Vientiane, Lao PDR

    Salary range: From US$ 36,960 to US$55,464 per year (gross)

    Global Climate and Energy Initiative

     

    WWF?s climate and energy vision is a response both to the science and to new economic and political realities, with focus on achieving climate resilient, low carbon development on the national level and with the corporate sector.

     

    Reporting directly to the Leader of Global Climate and Energy Initiative, this is one of the key roles within the WWF network. The incumbent will drive and lead both internal and external communications and campaigning activities to increase the public profile and deliver the objectives of the initiative. Being an active member of CGEI Management Team, he/she will play a vital role in coordinating virtual team within the WWF network in communicating and advocating GCEI?s policy and outreach goals.

     

    We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative candidate with excellent experience in cross-cultural communications, media or campaigns. We seek a candidate who has proven leadership skills, line management experience, and track record in developing successful campaigns as scale (political, consumer or public). The incumbent should demonstrate an excellent ability to coordinate multi-office, international activities, and a virtual team.

    This position will be hosted in WWF South Africa office in Cape Town.

    WWF-Australia, the global conservation organisation, is seeking a skilled project coordinator to help reduce the ecological impacts of beef production. Supporting the WWF-Australia Program Manager - Sustainable Agriculture, this new role will develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders within Australia and globally, including the recently established Australian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (ARSB).  The role works to establish higher environmental standards and promote Best Management Practices in Australian beef production and markets. 

    To be successful for this position it is essential that you have:

    ?           Experience in rangeland ecology, beef production systems and/or corporate sustainability policy and implementation in agribusiness and related fields

    ?           Knowledge of biodiversity conservation principles and practices

    ?           Experience coordinating and supporting multi stakeholder processes

    ?           Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to network and negotiate with senior stakeholders and partners from a range of sectors including corporations, government, NGOs and local business

    ?           Proven project management experience and delivery of agreed performance targets
